Success at the wrong thing can be dangerous. Emulation without revelation is counterproductive. To emulate the character and even good deeds of others is complementary, however, to seek to duplicate another ministry or even calling without a Divine mandate is a dangerous proposition.

There is evidence to support the idea that some revelation is dependent upon the interaction with other people. Such was the case of Apollos who was eloquent and mighty in the scriptures (Acts 18:24-26). This paper is intended to show that the fundamental reason for effectiveness, success, and greatness is not a matter of zeal, enthusiasm and effort but conceptual. It is the interpretation and implementation of revelation knowledge. Dr. Arnold Toynbee in his massive study of history expresses the rise and extinction of 23 civilization was not due to leadership, citizenship, circumstances, but upon the ability or inability to respond to challenges. These challenges are response to change and demand for progress; conservation of historic and foundational traditions. A plurality of leadership provides for checks and balances and the Scripture are always the measure of all revelation or intuition.
